David Hodson graduated from
Miami University-Oxford,
Ohio in 1974 with a Bachelor of Arts degree and later
graduated from University of Dayton in 1977 with an MBA. Between 1974
and 1993 he served as a Bank One Vice President of Commercial Lending
and a Gem Savings Vice President of Commercial Lending in Dayton Ohio.
He then became Vice President of Commercial Lending at NCNB/Nationsbank
in Charlotte, NC, and then President and CFO of
Carolina Pottery in Smithfield, NC. Between 1989 and 2001, David was involved
in forming Factory Stores of America, acquiring 25 shopping centers
which grew to 32 shopping centers in 26 states, and then took the
company public listing on the NYSE. In 1996 Hodson & Company was
created bringing David back into the real estate market, leading him
into a position of Director of Sales with the development of Tides
Condominiums in 2003. In June 2005, Properties of the Carolinas Group,
LLC was formed.
